Win or lose in the life

Richard believes that there are two kinds of peole: winners or losers in life, and he plans to publish a book about a 9 step process on how to be a winner. That means he gets too hung up on the outcome of the life and he also fears to be lose. This movie was starting in his spaech, but it told to us that there are more important something in life over the outcome.
All of family took a long trip because Doughter, Olive, want to take part in the Little Miss Sunshine Contest. Old bus was broken a clutch on the road. For the starting the bus, all of members got it off and should push it. This scene said family should get together for adversity.
In fact, the name of family fane seem to be very strong but, it's inadeuate like old broken bus.

Don't procrastinate

I have a serious problem: Procrastination. For example, I always worried about my dinner. What do I have to prepare for dinner? But, that's all. Thinkings are too much. After too much thinking, I don't have time to prepare for my meal. So usually, my husband and I eat instant nuddle ,which made very easy and spent short time.
Since I came to U.S. I made a plan that I read a book every month. But I put off from day to day.
It kills my soul. I hate procrastinating I keep doing it. I keep thinking about failure and I feel guilty. That is the real reason why I have this problem. Let's not wait for the last minute and see what I can do for now.

Just take a break!

The sky is blue, and the wind is fresh. But my head is stuff, and my eyes are tired. Next week, I'm under hard pressur of several quizes. So, maybe I'll very busy, because I didn't have anything about the exam. I always wait the fortune.

I'm still waiting.

People say, there are three chances that we can meet through whole our life. I guess this time. I've faced with the last one, hopefully it's not, though. Like other people, I have a dream in which I can find a 'alive myself'. However, it's not such a big drea. So I can try and try till I can make it. Right now, I do not even want to imagine I do not work what I wanted do. Even it's failed, I would not discourage. Because there is always the third chance is waiting for me.

When I feel that I'm alone.

Sometimes, I feel too Lonely. In fact, I don't hace much time to feel sort of lonely so that I have many friends and good family. But, nowdays I'm in U.S. I can't see those lovely people. when I feel that T'm alone, I wast to be a famouse person. If I'll be famouse person, for example, the movie star or singer something, when I walk in the street, so many people say to me "hi!" don't they?

Soap opera-Lover

I have a serious problem about watching a soap opera. Actually, we say "drama" in Korea. Soap opera is not good story, but darama is different. One day, When I visited to my friend, I had a chance to watched Korean drama, "Yeon-In", Which means lover. Once I watched the firest episode, I immediately fell in love with it. Yesterday, my friend downloaded all the stories havd been brodcasted from the Internet. As soon as I received them, I started satching from the second story to 14th one with no break. The time that I got hme was around midnight, and I kept watching them until the next day noon. Fortunately, it was Saturday weekend, so I did not have to worryabout going to school. However, I was disappointed about myself that I did not control myself. I love watching anything that is visualized. The problem is I do not save it for another day.I could have watched the Korean drama little by little and finished them with in a week. But, I had to see thae all at once to find the end of the story. I heard that people love watching saup opera because og indilect experience. By empathzing themselves into characters of movies, they feel achievement and satisfaction. This type of group is high tendency to became a couch potato. That is why I even do not see the sneak preview of a saup-drama.

Terrible disease

When I came U.S, one of my x-colleague asked to me some medicine for the gums, so I sent to him. Before I've dome to U.S. I'd met him, at that time, he'd been very bad. Espaecially, he'd taken nosebleed and been very tired. Today one of my other colleague called me and I heard from him. Few month ago, he went to see a doctoer and head some inspection. The result was lack of a white blood corpuscle and a red corpuscle and a blood platelet. Now, he's in hospital. After called to her, I couldn't study all day longg. That was very shocked to me.

I'm a morning person.

I know that I'm morning person. Before I didn't know about morning person and night person, even didn't think of me. I read a book which talked about morning person and night person. And I knew what type is me. According to the book's self test, I'm a morning person. It said " If you always do under doings, you are morning person." Always, I go to bed early at night, I wake up earlier than other people, I like to walk in morning, I have brain with fresh air in the morning...ect. The book said to me many things. However, I can't te;; a;; things. Because I can't remember all of that. T like this truth about morning people. "Many people of morning person are smart people, and they have smart and curious brain." the book said. When I read this sentences, I was very happy, although I'm not smart.

How to manage teeth .

I learned how to manage teeth from the dentist yesterday. I'll write about this method. I got used to brushing the teeth up and down. Then I brushed the teeth from right ro left. By the way, these methods were wrong. First of all, we have to brush teeth from gums down smoothly. We don't need to brush teeth from right to left. The brushing of this method could transfer remnants between the teeth to other cracks. We olny have to brush the face of the teeth from right ro left. Second, we have to use the dental floss to scale tartar from the teeth. I've never used the dental floss. If I use the dental floss, I could be concerned of widening the crack between teeth. But he said that the teeth floss could not widen the crack between the teeth. After using floss, the crack between the teeth loos like widening, because the tartar was removed from the crack. If there were no remnant and tartar between teeth, there would be no inflammations on gums. I have lived for over 30 years without knowing these methods. It was not until yesterday that I knew my ignirance. I executed these methods yesterday and today. The using of th dentalfloss was sifficult for me because of my clumsy skills. These methods take a long time.

About Plastic Surgery

I called my friend last night. She plans to do plastic surgery. And as soon as I'd heard, I said to her " What ? You look just fine.Don't do that! It can spoil your face." But she looked determined and said, her boyfriend agrees and other family member too. It was surprising to me. These days, most women, even men, are considering abou changing heir figures. They try to look more attractive, and give a goof frist impression. But, "How about me?" I'm not trying to lose weight or plastic surgery not because I'm gorgeous but because feel bother some and scare. Many people criticize people who did plastic surgery and sxercise to get "S-line". On some points I agree with them because I'm pretty shocked when I see the picture that they were natural, that makes me I feel got deceived by their appearance. Everone's personality itself is good, but the appearance, too, if I had money! On the other hand, everyone has a desire to get good-looking. Entertainer is also has a human. But, I'm worried that they are inclined to focus on only appearance and not on personality. Anyway, I hpe my friend's surgery is going well and she is going to be satisfied with her face.

How poor my dog!

Yesterday, I took care of my dog all day. My dog got a neutral operation 2 days ago. A pet dog needs that operation. She got a period one time. When it came, she became nervouse and got stressed, so I decided to do the operation. During the operation, she slept deeply. When she waked up, she yelled with pain. I was astonished at her scream. It was difficult to see her pain for me . I regret the operaion, bu I thought that the operation was for her future happiness. Anyway, she couldn't eat anything and dhe laid in bed-clothes all day. When my dog ate mixed food yesterday, I was delighted.

My Parents

My father is a professor. I remember that he usually sat at his desk and studied very hard. He was strict. I'd had to come abck home at 8 o'clock despite I was twenties. He used to scold me for my bad attitudes. Sometimes I hid if I had done something wrong because I was afraid of him. He wanted me to be good person that why he was very strict. My mom, on the otherhand, was very gentle. Even if I made a mistake, she never got engry. Che explained to me why it was wrong. My parents were strict and tender at the same time, it looked like a carrot-and -stick policy. When I think about my childhood, it was good time for me. Even if he looks strict, he loves me very much. I can feel that.

Meaning of Luck

People who have done hard work usually succeed. But only sincerity isn't reflected in success. Suppose that success is winnibg the game in soccer. Although our team is superior than the other, it may be hard to achieve a goal. Because luck has to do with goal. If I work hard, but my talent is the same as others. Then a little bit more lucky decidesto my destiny. In addition, winning a money and lots of fame, he or she may not buy the lottery ticket. Besides, the lottery ticket he or she bought is not always sinning ticket. Think abou another case. The man called seccessful person faces enormous trouble as slick nothing at all than he does his best. But if he fail the trouble, luck is related this problem obviously. In this case, we can guess that suxxessful man also faces adversity and he may fail. I don't agree the quitation "Luck has nothing to do with success." "Luck is olny way to succeed." either. We have to work hard and keep our mental attitude right to succeed. The person who makes an effort has all the advantages of life called luck and success.

How to make Kimchi

Kimchi is the most important with meal in Korea. There is a my mother's recipe. First of all, clean the cabbages, cut them into 2 or 4 pieces. Second, perpare salted water with a ratio of 2.5 cups of salt to 10 cups of water, then soak the cabbages in it for 6 to 8 hours. Third, rinse the soacked cabbages in running water 3 times and then wait for them to dry a bit. Next, cut dropwort, green onions, and radishes into lengths of 5cm, then chop the garlic and ginger. After that, prepare fish paste and add red chili pepper to it with sticky rice paste. Mean while, wash oysterrs in salt water. Then mix all the ingredients. Finally, put the mixture inside each leaf, then store in a cimchi pot. Cover the cabbage with a leaf and sprinkle some salt. The place a heavy stone on top to compress it.

The Limousine

The limousine was quite luxurious. It was at least fifteen feet long. It had six doors and could carry dight passeengers comfortably. The outside of the limousine looked like gorgeous. All of windows were tinted, so the passengers could see outside, but nobody could see inside. The inside of the limousine haad nice leather seats. There were a separation between the passengers and the driver. It had a big TV and good qullity speakers. It also had food and beveragers. Especially, it had good taste wine and champagne.

Gag concert.

" Have you ever seen the 'Mabbagi'?" or "Did you know the 'mabbagi'?" I frequently ask to my friends. Mabbagi is the character entering the gag concert. The corner is composed of 4 persons called Mabbagi, Ulbbagi,Daebbagi,Galbbagi. They enter on stage beating their forehead with their own hands. they don't say meaning comments just ad lips.Simply, we are enjoying to their exhausted look. Especially, because Mabbagi firstly entered on stage, he was likely to be mad of exhausting in a few minutes. He seems to be very painful for hard gestures. On his entering, my husband was pleased and was busy to give an imitation of Mabbagi. But, I was enjoying with his simple and repeat gestures, either. This corner is likely to be a childish action comedy, but it is unexpectedly interesting and exciting. I feel humans brutal natur enjoying other pain. Also, I seem to be one of brutal humans. How long this cirner is kept with simple gestures and continuity? Ever now, I look forward to watching this corner next Sunday.

Shop with family

Yseterday, I went to the separtment store with my father and younger sister to buy my clothes. I want to buy a T-shirts what printed a character, but my father didn't let me. So I bought another T-shirt and a jacket. I was very setisfied with them. Then we went to buy for my friends' birthday gifts. I thought about what to buy for my friends.I decided to buy two cosmetic products. When I bought them, I got two cakes of soap for free. Finally, we went to buy my father's clothes. My father is very fastidious. Therefore he spent many hours deciding which clothes to buy. After we bought everthing, we came back home. Spending time with family is very exiting and happy.

My little dog

I have a small dog that we called "Ah-ji". It's a Chiwawa, female.Since I came to America, I've gotten homesick. About 5 months ago, one of my friend gave it to me. It makes me happy and busy. So, I don't have time to feel sad. " A small dog" transfer in Korean, we say " Kang Ah Ji". korean names usually get 3 syllabled and the Last name is front og First name. My Last name is " Park", so I made her name " Park Ahji". However, it's also funny. "Park-Ah-Ji" means a "gourd" in Koraen. Anyway, I'm not sure she can understand her name. Sometimes, I call other names, but she's wagging her tail and she follows. Training is very difficult too. I've never raised any animal in my life. I have got more and more responsible for her.

Father came to San Francisco.

My father also visited my house. Actually he had taken part in a conference in San Francisco. When he get his conferences, he usually visits my house with mom. This is the first time he visits alone. My father is very strict, bet also he's very nice. However, I'm worried about a thing that he usually eat Korean food every meal. Before he visited my house, I'd nvere worried about that, because mom alxo visited my house. For 2 weeks, it'll be hard time for me. now, I'm surfing Internet to finding korean food recipe. I'll do my best to cook, but I'm not sure that he'll be satisfied with my cooking. Meetings family is great for me, but to tprepare food is worrying for me.

Driving all day

My sister and I planned her stay. I fit my schedule fer her without class. My sister felt jet lagged whole day so that we couldn't go out for away. I drove a surrounding of my house and showed her the way to home. Actually, she had been to America for a year to study English at that time she got a driver's license. So she can drive. She is going to use my car. We went to Berkely where we lived before to recollect. My sister was surprised that many places were rebuilding and there were lots of cars. When we went back to my house she had almost adjusted to driving . We bought some food and beers to hold a party for my sister, because tomorrow is my husband's off-day. We can drink and oversleep tomorrow.

I usually use the Internet to buy things. It's very convenient, because I can buy stuff just a few clicks. and I can receive it at home. I can buy stuff from books to computers. I buy books frequently. Lately, I bought a cute diary through online shopping for my sister's birthday present. I usually go to a site called "Auction". This webpage allows its shoppers to buy things I need through auction. The price is also very reasonable. However, it is a little dangerous to purchase expensive things here, because they may cheat. So there's many cheat stories on that site. Even it is so, the price is attractive. That's why I ccan't help shopping online.

My sister visit to me.

Today was a very special day for me, because my youngest sister came to America. My sister is a senior at University in Korea. She got a last vacation before graduation, so she sould visit me. My husband and I were looking forwasd to seeing her, because it's the first time she will visit my house. My husband picked up my sister at the airport and he took her home. Actually I was going to pick her up at the airport, but she arrived one hour early. I was so suprised she opened the front door and smiled at me when I got home. I was so happy to see her. My sister brought two big bags, inside Kimchi and many kinds of Korean food that mother cooked. My husband really liked mom's cooking more than mine. I feel full my refrigerator is fill with Korean food.

As we know well, my country is the onlynation in the world where one country is divided into two. I do not know much about politics but it is a very unforturate situation. Therefore, South Korea must try to make North our friends,by allowing the civilians travel to Mt.Baek-Doo,providing food and cattle to North, and meeting with President of each Korea. Several years ago, I thought that we must became one natin, but now I'm not sure. Because it seems that North Korea pretends to be friendly to us only when we give something to them. Also, nuclear development ofNorth Korea confirmed my opinion. They'll threaten us with nuclear weapon and ask for subordination, not unification. However we do not feel like thratening like other countries like U.S. and Japand do, and that is our problem. We have to find a solution to the problem.

How to clean house after a party

Cleaning house after a party is not fun, but it's easier if you do it step by step. First of all, take what you need and throw the rest away. You clean out trash on the floor and the table, balloon, some pieces of paper rest of food,etc. Second, put the clothes,sock,shose and rewind the tape on their right places. Third, put the telephone on the table. Next, put the chair back on standing. After that, set up the cushion on the sofa. Then realign the crooked things, clock, bookshelf, picture on the wall. Finally, spread the rug. Now all of things are neat and orderly.

Introduce myself

'An young ha se yo?' Do you know what it means? It is Korean and means 'How are you?' Yes. I'm Korean. My name is Ju Young Park. Just call me “Young”. That's familiar to me because my parents call me “Young”.
I was born in 1976 and I grew up in Seoul, the capital city of Korea. I had worked at stock company about 5 years. After I got married, I quit my job and came to America with my husband. I've been in America 10 months. I live in Hayward near Cal State Hayward.
I'm open mind and I like to be friendly with everybody. My hobbies are reading books, listening to music and surfing Internet. Especially I like surfing Internet because I can get much information and chat with my friends wherever I live.
Now I'm attending ESL class to learn to English and adapting myself to new area. But I'm starting to study about accounting in 5 years to get AICPA which is accounting license and I hope that I achieve my goal.
